On January 23, 2003, MCP gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
As archivist for The Mood Cultivation Project from Mt. Airy, NC I want to give
you the official go-ahead from the band for their inclusion in the archive
project. As the archive project is a strictly not-for-profit operation it
therefore complies with the band's taping and distribution policy as posted here.
Thanks for all of your efforts on behalf of the live music community,
Joel Hudson
Policy
(this will also appear on their website when circumstances permit)
The Mood Cultivation Project allows and encourages all forms of audio and video taping, trading, and the electronic free distribution of their material via the web provided that no profit is obtained by third parties in exchange for their recordings. Soundboard access will be made available at certain venues, however tapers are encouraged to bring their own microphones, cables, and rechargeable batteries in case AC power is not available. In some small venues, the soundboard feed would be almost all drums and vocals and in those circumstances soundboard patches will not be given out for the obvious reason that it would render such a recording unlistenable and would be a poor representation of the band's performance. Soundboard feeds will not be given out in the rare case that the band is multi-track recording the show for future release. See their soundman Casper, Merch/Road manager John, or one of the band members if you have any questions or need assistance.
